COMMUNITY WORKING TOGETHER

It was great to watch the TV News last night and hear from those who had chased and caught the teenager who was in the process of assaulting a young woman. This was a great example of community conscious individuals watching out for others. This is what we are about at Crimestoppers - encouraging individuals in the community to work together to create safer and more secure communities. You may not be in the position to react immediately and assist in the way those men did, but you may be in the position to provide information about crime and criminals to the Police or if this is not possible, ring CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800555111 and give the information anonymously - Our Mantra is: We don't want to know who you are, just the information you have.

  1. Was great to see alright. People looking after people. The poice won't. There was a home invasion in Papakura last Friday. Everyone turned out and they have suspects but in spite of the victim being injured, no arrests have been made.
It come with the territory I guess. South Ackland, not worth a damn.
The cops in the Manukau are among the slackest.

People might have to look after their own, more and more

  2. Jack, I hear where you are coming from. I have published on my blog my response to your email. We need you and the community to hang in there. I can assure you the Manukau Police are dedicated to making your community safer. They have some big challenges and need you and the community to hang in there and support them. Don't take any action other than providing information to the Police or Crimestoppers. It is not worth YOU getting into trouble. Your community needs you to help get rid of crime.
